Madison Hockey League was founded in 1995.  Initially, games were played on asphalt tennis courts with chicken wire boards and cinder block player benches.  Over the years, dasher boards, a concession stand, player shed, scorekeeper's table, and a remote control score board were added.  In 2012, a wildfire damaged the rink.  The rink was rebuilt using sports court tiles.  Madison's travel team was named after this infamous wildfire.
