Capitals Inline Hockey League

The Washington Capitals are dedicated to providing the community with legitimate avenues to playing all forms of hockey.

The launch of this new league solidifies a competitive travel hockey option for existing inline players. 

The Washington Capitals are excited to launch the Capitals Inline Hockey League (CIHL), a co-ed league established to provide a unified travel league for existing inline players looking to expand their opportunities to play. 

Season: December - March

Divisions: Elementary School, Middle School, High School

Games: 5 tournaments | 2 games per team per tournament | 10 total games per team

Year One Participating Clubs:

  • Ashburn Fury (Ashburn, VA)
  • Fauquier Dragons (Warrenton, VA)
  • Fredericksburg Phantoms (Fredericksburg, VA)
  • Madison Wildfire (Madison, VA)
  • Richmond Renegades (Hanover, VA)

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

This league is focused on providing a competitive travel option for current inline house hockey players.

  • Local inline hockey players ages 8-18
  • All players must have either played on an inline house hockey team within the last 12 months for the club with which you are registering OR
  • Are committed and registered for the next subsequent inline house hockey season for the club with which you are registering

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  1. Parents/guardians of interested participants submit interest form.
  2. Participating clubs send communication to families who are interested in playing for them and announce tryout information.
  3. Tryouts are held individually by clubs to determine roster for each age-group team.
  4. Rosters are submitted to Capitals.
  5. Registration completed by parents/guardians of players who made the roster. Please note: individual registration fee varies per club ranging from $75-200 per player.
