What is Breaking the Ice?
Breaking the Ice is a program designed to provide access to hockey at home. With the use of exclusive training videos, the program allows you to learn how to play street hockey through virtual instruction. All without leaving the house! The program is designed for ages 6 - 14
The Washington Capitals have partnered with Dc Mamba to bring you custom, fun and exciting street hockey instruction. Join the coaches as they teach you the basics of hockey including:
- Proper hockey stance
- How to hold the stick
- Stickhandle
- Forehand and backhand passing
- How to shoot a wrist shot, snapshot and backhand
